That's exactly how that apricot paste tastes! Tangy and sweet all at once. When I was a kid, they didn't use preservatives in it like they have now. It was better then because if you left the package open, it would get just a tiny bit more leathery. Then it was perfect.
Funny, the packaging is still exactly the same but they had to add that stupid preservative shit. The whole idea of drying and making it a paste is to preserve it.
