There is noticeably less traffic on the roads and the few times I've been to the stores (early in the am) there doesn't seem to be too many people out. The stores are all well stocked from what I've seen, but still low on toilet paper and paper products, and sanitizer and wipes are nonexistent.
I think people around here are taking it pretty serious for the most part.
I know also that when they say you are quarantined that they mean it. Someone from the health dept. will randomly stop by, call you on the phone and make you show yourself outside so they can be sure that you are not out chasing around.
On a positive note though, some of things that make me have hope for humanity. I see people wearing masks, most people I've had dealings with in the supermarkets are polite and respectful of one another, and the moose lodge from the next town over has set up on the state highway on the weekends handing out free lunches for the truckers passing through.
NO ONE is adhering to those rules around here.
There are no knocks on doors to make sure people are in and forget the Hasidic communities. They simply are not taking this seriously. Bad enough they are "anti-vaxers" and last year we had a run of measles again in the 5 boroughs, but now they just don't fucking care.
Glad you can get supplies, Biker. We still cannot.
I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head
