They held this kid for 2 days and he only escaped because the neighbor downstairs complained and when the two girls went down to confront her, they kicked the door in and that's where this kid got to escape.
They are filing hate crime charges but I would like to know why no kidnapping and assault/battery charges and more?

Hate crime charges HAVE to be on top of other charges. You cannot have just a hate crime charge.
