Actually it's warm right now - 35º F so it is still raining. Wind is blowing and it stings.
The surprise 2" we got overnight Sunday into Monday was a nice snow. Very dry, light and fluffy and when the sun hit it just right it sparkled like diamonds scattered all over.
This is pure shit snow. The rain sinks through and settles under the snow layer and when you step in it, it splashes and sloshes. You need knee high rubber boots for this crap. So when it freezes later, there should be about 2" of ice at the ground and crunchy snow on top.
