I dont feel good about most manufactured defense rounds because usually the rounds are loaded +P and unless you shoot them regularly and are used to the feel its going to hurt your accuracy in a stress situation.
My first choice if I was able to plan for my defense situation would be to use my Taurus raging judge magnum with .410 PDX shotshells. Each 2 1/2" shotshell has three copper discs plus 12 copper bbs for added insurance or the 3" shell has 4 and 16 . If I had to do it in a regular caliber handgun though I would use either Corbon PowR Ball or federal hydra shok the damage ive seen those rounds do was pretty amazing.
would you recommend the taurus judge 2 1/2 over the R.I.P. rounds for a 51 year old woman who can't see shit without glasses, has some numbness and carpal tunnel? My whole thing here isn't can I shoot it it's what's 1 gun I can get for her that she can drill with so when I aint at home I can sleep a little better. Recoil and also cocking mechanisms are things i need to factor in.
