We have a ton of black racers here by my pond. My brother used to do research with a professor from Maryland looking and studying the northern pine snake. He has set up a bunch of artificial hiding spots for the snakes to populate. All we keep finding is the black racers and they live up to their name, had a very hard time photographing them. We had luck on one of the days few months back when it was like 60 degrees they are much slower in cool weather and easier to catch.
