Although our economy with china is symbiotic North Korea is china's bastard child and South is ours,if we were to wipe them off the map we would have to do it tastefully with good cause and it couldn't be anything short of proving North Korea attempted an attack at US mainland or something like our ships. China has started to pull away from North Korea because of how crazy they have become in past few months. However our actions in the near future can drastically effect their support or abandonment for the north. If china feels we bullied N. Korea we could get into conflict with China. I dont even want to think what a USA/China war would be like.
