Hey, that's fine. Being courteous, not busting in line, or trying to run over folks in front of them is boring stuff I'll agree.
Yesterday, returning from my daughter's in Columbia, SC, I stopped to 'top off' my tank at Sams, and went next door into Wal-Mart to pick up a couple of items. I was standing in line behind an older lady, when a new cashier started to open the counter next to us. The cashier nodded to the older lady and motioned her over to her register. But suddenly some gallant and considerate gentleman rushed to the head of the line, blocking out the old lady.
And after a bit of outrage from a few of us about his gracious behaviour, he replied with his idea of what we could all to to ourselves. And judging from his accent, it was obvious where he came from. That's how to teach those boring Southern hicks, how real gentlemen act 'up there'. Yeah, a real gentleman. Too bad he had to come down south and offer us the benefit of being born in the land of Milk and Honey. If there is so much milk and honey, then why do they have to move down here where we are so boring and backward?
And of course if you happen to be born while Southern, you are naturally a slow hick, boring, uneducated, and just not in tune with the times. How revealing.
