Hmm, so my dog would had been called a dalmador. She's the black type, with that white throat stripe going down her chest.
generally, I tend to believe that cross-breeds tend to be far more healthy than purebreeds. since how they have a higher tolerance to diseases, disorders, etc.
pure-breeds have higher risk of cancer and tumors; eye and heart disease ; joint and bone disorders; skin , immune system and neurological diseases; and even epilepsy. not to mention they're often so inbreed that their family tree is hardly a tree at all... it's just one branch going upwards. honestly, the only thing they have going for them is their "beauty".
and I have to say, there's plenty of beautiful and cute mutts out there.... so why even go with a pure-breed at all? I think pure-breeds are completely overrated.
