visited on the Sunday with a Birthday card, always comes with 'money, then remembered he had forgotten to bring a bottle of wine. Everyone gets a bottle of wine for their birthday (or Champagne for special celebrations). So since he forgot he asked 'Red or White?'I jokingly said 'Yes Please!'
Yesterday there were 2 bottles waiting for me in the porch, one of each. Only Eric called to make sure I found them and reminded me not to use the red for 'mulled wine' it was too special for that.
He hasn't forgotten the bottle he gave us when we bought our first house in 1983. £24 a bottle and I topped up the spiced wine we had on the stove for visitors with it
I also saw my first unset diamond too. Eric has decided his shares could be in danger in this climate so he bought a Dutch diamond, which he brought over to show us.
Mark is going spare
