That's what you get for using the Music I grew up listening to my mom playing though I did have to look up where they were from :| lol



This artist of English ancestry was born in New York City. The second of 4 children, 2 others of which entered music as well. He died young (age 38) and was posthumously awarded a congressional medal. He attended both the Air Force Academy and Cornell University, but did not complete a degree at either one.

Name the artist, what congressional medal he earned, how he died, and which of his songs his epitaph is taken from.
