That "evidence of breed" is one thing here that has become a huge issue, mostly for homeowners (ME). Insurance companies here are skeptical to give you insurance if you have a dog. If you claim the dog is a mutt, they don't want to hear it. Thanks to assholes making those 'designer breeds' (cocker poos, labradoodles etc), there is no such thing as a mutt now. Insurance companies want to know what is the mix or you don't get homeowners insurance.
There is a 'bad dog' list a mile long. Collies are on the list because Shelties look like collies and are known to be nippy. It's all bullshit. Some asshole who buys into the hysteria of the media and the ignorant public fears what they don't understand and they go about banning, regulating, licensing and killing for the "good of the public".
