Does it come off that bad? I want to remove a bunch of that also. I was thinking of using a scraper on a stick maybe an ice chipper.
Bad idea. Very hard to get off dry, pretty easy wet, but very messy. I put down plastic in the whole room. wet down a small section at a time, scrape off with putty knife, then when the whole ceiling is done, wipe down with we cloth. It evens things out. The hardest part is the corners where it meets the wall. I am doing crown moulding, so at least I don't have to get it perfect.
