Nope. That's why its so confusing.

I just got a call back from the doc and he looked at the pics and thinks it could be bleeding that is seeping to the surface. I should put warm packs on her to increase circulation to the area and to open the vessels so the blood 'flushes' through. If it still looks like this on Friday, I'm to bring her in and he'll look.

If she starts to become really painful before then, I get to bring her in on an emergency visit at a cost of about $500. I'm hoping for the best. I can't afford an emergency visit.
