Sadly, IE is outdated even the newest version. What's happening is that all the other browsers out there are writing code for ALL different aspects and software on the net where IE is still staying proprietary to MS. Too often when someone writes code they have to add in special bits to make IE recognize it.
Remember the X you had where that little arrow is the other day after the upgrade? Well all the other browsers don't error like that. They recognize the code and they will put a "substitute" icon there because it reads the "alt" tag in the code. IE does not read that.
There are a lot of things IE just does not work with.
