Because it's nasty. It also leaves a nasty film on the shower walls and tub that I wind up having to clean because he never wipes down the walls after his shower. Excuse is: "You're going to shower after me anyway."
I'm tired of nasty goopy soap in the dish.
Soap that is not rinsed off and let to dry dirty bubbles all over it.
Having to clean out the dish when the soap is at the last bit of life is gross too.
When we did use bar soap before the invention of shower gel, I used to always buy the glycerin soaps instead. Less scum on the walls and it didn't decompose like normal bar soap.
I do have a bar of Lava for when he needs something gritty and that's kept in an air tight container after it's been completely cleaned and dried off.
