The biggest pisser here is that the Ecoboobs are the ones who made plastic bags the standard in the first place! They bitched and moaned about X amount of trees being used for paper bags so hence the switch to plastic...then cheaper plastic and finally cheap assed plastic bags. Now these singly simple minded do-gooders are seeing only plastic bags as a problem and advocate fabric bags.

Just remember, these people are experts and we should never question their conclusions or proposed solutions to each problem as they have the definitive answers.

When will they start bitching about the fabric bags not being easily biodegradable and start calling for oh I dunno......maybe bags made of straw?

As soon as they find out that if not laundered (which therefore "wastes" water) these bags will begin to potentially harbor bacteria because unless vacuum packed (in PLASTIC by the way) meat packaging leaks juices which will permeate the bag.

Lets just go back to the original brown paper bags I grew up with and be done with it.
