Here I am! I am here! I learned from my pal I will call him "Dark Mark" cuz his skin is dark. Anyways he says they are not bad. He spreads leaves all over a patch about 20x40 and rakes it out every 2-2.5 weeks, the moisture under the leaves draw the bugs and worms up and you should see them go nuts when he rakes it over the hill.
Having 6 hens and one Rooster will get ya more eggs than you can use but its a good mix of bird.
I remember the de-plucker at the chicken factory and can relate to twisties objections of dem nasty birds.
Dark Mark gets about 12-18 eggs every 8 days or so. To me thats alot of eggs.
I forgot to ask him if he slaughters a few in the fall to rotate his stock. I guess there is quite a few guidelines butits not bad after a few years, kinda like a garden.
