I have seen many brown female Cardinals this summer. I think they are young and looking for a mate. They almost look like big brown sparrows and their size is really the only thing that seperates them. Birds will stay in the enviroment that is comfortable and sometimes do not even know they need to fly South until it is either past due or they get to cold. Inching their way south as the winter gets worse. I sometimes see birds that should be gone in the dead of winter pecking at seeds. They seem lost at times, but they may be just young and stupid.
Gimme dat filet-0-fish............gimme dat feesh.
