You're right, if she knew how much I dread it she would be heartbroken. That's why I suck it up and go.

What do you bring?

I know that is a weird question, but I always ask people what they bring. I think to make sure my family is normal.

I usually bring the colored eggs but I weaseled out of it this year.

I suggested we all call the boss the morning of 1 Apr and request sick leave. She came running up to the office to see the fourth person (out of four) that hadn't called yet to tell him he was on his own, and we were all standing there laughing.

ETA: I guess that makes me a liar.

I don't see April Fool as being a day for liars but more for practical jokes. To make a fool out of someone on the butt end of said joke.
