Jammin, this is a friend. I do friends favors when I know they can't afford but I take promises from friends as just that, a promise. I hold up my end of the bargain, I just get a bit bitchy when they can't hold up their end.

So your friend takes the free favors from you then pays someone else when they have money?

I'm not sure that is a friend. YOU are the friend.

I don't lend anything anymore and expect to get back. I give if I can, but I don't lend, even my time, and expect anything in return. I paid in advance to get my lawn cut by an out of work friend last week. I won't do that again, either.
