I only had to skim the article to know I agree with him. Advice from my parents to always have a trade to fall back on was sound. Skilled labor yields more or as much money as any pencil pusher these days and have always been in demand. The guy at the desk in a suit and tie with the soft hands and manicure needs a skilled tradesman to do his work. Auto mechanics up here easily get $109.00 per HOUR plus the cost of parts. Not bad for a 'grease monkey'. If I went back to work cutting hair I can demand $60 for a simple dye job. That's not including my tip. Anything less than 20% is a stingy customer. You need me to look good at that desk. Flowbe doesn't cut it Giggle

I saw Mike do an interview about it on The Blaze about a month or so ago.

Mike Rowe is a God among men. You know how he got a job working for QVC or whatever advertising products? He crashed an audition for the spot while on a break from an opera where he played a viking. He showed up in viking garb and made it happen! Then he pretty much treated QVC as his own comedy show.

He can do anything and everything from Shakespeare to retreading a tire, and this makes him the perfect advocate for skilled labor in America, as he is charismatic enough to be the face of it, plus he has literally tried every shitty job out there.

America sucks because basically all the middle class white kids want to work as some easy bullshit office workers or *dream jobs* doing pure bullshit while importing migrant Mexicans to do the real work that keeps things chugging along.

I hope Mike Rowe breeds prolifically. He is a beautiful person.

I don't know who Mike Rowe is and am too lazy to read or google. Meh, the Rowe guys should be impressed by me, but does he take the time to find out who I am? Fuck him, whoever he is.

I figure that you must need 100 TV stations to know who he is, huh?

Stop being a hipster or some shit, Twist. You've probably either seen or heard Rowe but was too blinded to see the awesome.
