0 I'm pretty sure I know which section of 87 he was on. It's flat and straight for about 8 miles and 3 lanes wide with both shoulders wide enough to be lanes too. I was on that section quite a bit when we delivered to Dunkin Donuts warehouse in Colonie, NY.
193 MPH? Damn! Must be a Katana.

0 Could be any crotch rocket. He's nuts for doing that in the rain though!
We used to open up the bike when we found a new paved stretch of road. We went past a cop so fast one time he turned on the rollers and then turned them off and didn't bother. He'd never catch us and we'd lose him in the city streets.
I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head

The Kawasaki Ninja can get up to around 160. Buell's rocket tops at around the same point. The Yamahas max out around 150. GSXR Suzukis hit 160 - 165. The Suzuki Katana is the only one that gets to the 190 - 200 MPH bracket. And if you can lay hands on the Japanese version of the ECM prom chip (the U S version holds it to 200 MPH) it will top out at 240. But yeah......193 in the rain is just plain nuts! Hell, anything over 60 in the rain is not very smart.

0 Correction Traz. That would be the Suzuki Hyabusa. It tested at 194 mph with the U S chip.
The Katana can get close. Hyabusa reached 230 with the unrestricted chip and slightly bored cylinder (.10 overbore)

0 The latest on crotch rockets is that Kawasaki has one that is faster than the Hyabusa out of the box.
I like to ride my old Honda slow on the driveway though.

0 My fingers would have left permanent dents in the handlebars. Thats nuts. The dots on the road must have looked like a solid line.
Gimme dat filet-0-fish............gimme dat feesh.

Mark said he would have to replace the saddle afterwards, he most certainly never risks anything, hence I get told off for just cornering past the The Sloop pub to fast (an exciting 30mph!)

0 Finally read through the article after laughing till I cried.
Well done Anthony- 14 tickets and only one for speeding. Over here it would be one ticket for every time you past a camera on the road. Should cheer up No1 son, he doesn't want to talk about Ullapool in Scotland, 3 points just as he cleared the last lot from Christmas 2 years ago. |
