0 My son broke up with his girlfriend about a year and a half ago. She kept the cats which there were four. There was one though, socks, which was Mikes. Crystal ended up not really caring for him and he, socks, showed it. He got real skinny and was losing his hair. He was in bad shape when my son got him back. He took him to the vets and they had him for a couple of days. When my son went to pick him up the vet said he should be put down. He was in really bad shape but the cost was pretty high so they took him home. You should see him now. Theres two other cats his new girlfriend already has and they have a 125lb black lab. He put back on all the weight he had lost and then some. They ALL get along great. The dog keeps them all on their toes. When they fight its all in fun and no one gets torn up maybe a little scratch or two. Nothing to worry about. I told my son he should take the cat back and let the vet see what happened.
If I had known grandkids were this much fun, I would have had them first.

0 He should. My old vet was a virtual miracle worker. One of my cats, Thing 1 turned yellow on me a couple of years ago. They wanted to do all kinds of tests (his associates) and then Doc Hudson took a look at her and told me that the treatment for whatever was suspected is the same whether they did the punch biopsy or not. So we treated her. 3 months later she was back to normal and at full weight again.
Sadly my vet has an inoperable brain tumor and his practice has gone to shit. He can't keep a good vet there for more than a couple of weeks at a time and the guy just isn't ready to give up and sell the practice. I guess it's the only thing that keeps him hanging in there. I switched vets because I need one I can trust to be there on the follow up visits. Anyway, the six of my cats keep the dogs on their toes here! The poor dogs get slapped around too often for grins and giggles!

0 I love the cats TK! I can't wait until I am able to have my own. We live with my husbands mom and I really don't believe she likes animals of anykind (he says she likes dogs but I wouldn't want to test that theory...haha)

0 You could always walk around the house barking to test it out.
