Your blue gingham pot holder is now of unimaginable value! 24 hours a day people are walking into your house seeking it. You can't go anywhere without a massive "entourage" crowding you and asking about it. You are approached in your bathroom by complete strangers begging you for just one look at it.


I wish I could jump over traffic to cross streets.

Granted but you are 50 feet tall. The only human on the planet that size and you wind up dying of lonliness because you can't find another 50' person.

I wish dog farts smelled like roses.

Granted but, human farts now smell like 2 week old rotting carcasses and since dog farts are now so pleasant people have taken to eating beans in mass quantities since they can no longer blame the dog so indifference to their farts is now the norm.



I wish batteries would last for 10 years.

Granted !! But....after about two years they would erode and spill out into your house, down the stairs and into the garden next door. Your neighbours would be furious and chuck battery acid all over your new pontiac sitting in the driveway to get their own back !!

Bumble-Bees are a physical impossible flying object but they manage to get about quite happily at 12 inches off the ground with shopping bags attached to their ankles. So will you.

I wish ovens knew when things need turning down before they spoil.

Granted.... but.....they`d probably get it all wrong and you wouldn`t get your dinner on time , if at all ! It would probably be programmed to shout at you when dinner was ready and then throw your meal at you if you didn`t come in time !

However you live in a houseboat in the middle of the sea, The waves are 50 ft tall you are perpetually sea sick covered in puke, soaking wet and cold 24 hours a day.

I wish hurricanes only happened in deserts.

Granted ! However, you`ll need an extra strong vacuum cleaner to clear up all the sand which blows inland... up streets, in houses , clogging up drains, swimming pools , cars , buses and generally grinding life to a stand still.

I wish I had coiled springs in my shoes .
