I was up at 5am so this is my rebel post since I usually don't make it here....and I still didn't since I went to the gym instead of coming here.

I post after hours, but nobody cares.
I'm almost looking forward to starting back to the gym this fall, get back into a routine and see some pretty girls early in the moring.
I actually think I'm in better shape in the spring after spending the winter going to the gym than I am at the end of summer after riding bike. But I've been getting lazy too, I should be racking up miles but I'm a big slacker. I should get 2,000 to 2,500 miles or more a summer. I bet I won't even be close this year, maybe 1,500 if I'm really lucky.

Last night I had to get bikes ready for this stupid ride, I just put air in my tires and the other bike that I'm letting a guy use I put some tire liners in. When I was blowing up (Yeah BLOWING UP!!! BOOM!!) the one tire the tube must have been pinched and it blew. Man it sounds like a shotgun going off. Then I'm kinda scared to mess with the tires the rest of the night. I'm mean real careful touching them and stuff. BOOM!!!

I think I need to find some of those tire liners too. Stupid cheapo stores around here don't carry them anymore. I hate spending any serious amount of money on this bike though. I'd rather save it for a new one.

What happened to Kmart or Toys R Us? They used to be great places to go for replacement parts and goodies for your bike in a pinch. Now you go there and the stuff they carry is minimal and crappy. The hand grips I bought are already falling apart.

I'll pass on the Asian chick. She'd probably destroy me. I think something is fucked up with one of the fusions there.... probably the bone around the metal or it's nerve damage showing up under stress. Going to try changing the seat. I got the same one you used on your long trip. If that don't work, I've got plans on going to a bike shop or two tomorrow to start snooping around to see what's out there for me. Yes I promise to run anything interesting by you as well. I'll even take my camera.

Yep, I was sitting in a diner at 0630, man spent most of the day screwing around to ride two hours.

I had a good time at that ride, the only thing was, two of the guys opted to ride the 6 mile course, and myself and the other guy did the 30. There was only about 35 people there total. It was the first year for this, but they did OK anyway.
The guy I stayed with is a little slow, so I was kinda dragging ass so we would stay together. I used to work with this guy, he had a brain tumor a couple of years ago and can't work or drive, but he is pretty much his old self and can still ride a bike, so I don't really mind hanging back with him.

I saw a guy there that I see in the early morning gay cycling class that I go to in the winter time, I talked to him some, talked about the bike nazi that teaches the class and what a hard ass she is....talked about how he is married to her, (oops!!!) and she makes him get up and go to the classes.
He said that she was riding and probably right up front. It sounded like they were seeing how fast they could ride it. I wished that I had known this because I would have got going with them and see how I could do. I would have been funny to be able to finish ahead of her, I mean like in the last 50 feet pass her to finish 1st. But I would have probably had to yell "In you face bike nazi!!!!" or something to make her really punish me this winter.

It's raining this moring, I cracked the back door open and let Tuxedo J. Pussycat in the back shed to eat where it is dry. That and I didn't want to get wet taking the food out. I should go get more coffee and check, there is probably 3 cats cowering in the corner and 5 raccoons fighting over the cat food in my back room.
