Wally World is a microcosm in and of itself. I never cease to be amused by the denizens that populate every store with clockwork regularity.

There's always some 5 X 5 woman with snotgoblin kids in tow bitching at them to quit doing whatever shitty behavior they're engaged in and the ever present pair of friends who just happened to run into each other and are blocking the aisle whilst yakking away about some trivial bullshit.

I have been known to got to walmart at 6am before work just to avoid all the bullshit.

My son tries to go during the wee hours of the morning. He says "Yeah, I just had to go to Wal-Mart at 3 AM to see if there was anything I just couldn't live without."

Our WalMart(s) are not open 24/7 anymore here. I think the latest is 11PM. I'm lucky. Where we now live, those horrid places are not convenient to go to so we rarely go anymore. It's a good half hour drive to one that's "nearby" and I don't miss it! When I do wind up HAVING to go, I prep myself good and charge through as fast as I can. One of these days I'm going to be arrested for my mouth I swear!

Walmart own our ASDA- but we don't get the same deal as in the States with stuff. The few times I get dragged there I hate it and everything seems so tacky.
My paternal aunt took us to Walmart, so Jeff could see how Americans shop, he loved the idea of having a shopping trolley with cough sweets, tee-shirts and a rifle!
My maternal aunt boycots the place, because of the way they treat their staff.

Well, I hear that argument all the time about the staff. No one forces them to work there! They can quit if it's so bad. Everyone here seems to be pleasant enough (employees) so it can't be that bad. I guess everywhere is different but it seems to me that people are beating down the doors to work there in some areas.

saw on the news where a town near us found a pipe bomb and the strange people are everywhere. just try going to yardsales sometime.

The few times I've been to the Walmart in Post Falls the people working there were very nice. A new one is opening up in Hayden which is a bit closer my town.

Funny how all the scumbags flock to walmart, but if you go into a thrift store the people are almost normal.
