In this game you list facts about band members or bands and then ask for answers such as which album certain songs are from, who the members are, which band is this etc.

Ask between one and three questions. Players answer and each correct answer is then confirmed till all questions (if multiple) are answered. The poster who completes the questions wins and then posts their own.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Example:

These young men are considered to be the first of a 1960's phenomena.
They went on to be one of the most popular bands on the planet.
One of their songs was cited as the basis for a criminally insane person's actions.

1. Name the phenomenon

2. Name the band

3. Which criminal?

Poster1: I think number 2 is Herman's Hermits.

OP: Nope

Poster2: 1 is The British Invasion and 2 is The Beatles. I'm not sure on 3.

OP: 1 & 2 are correct!

Poster1: Got it! #3 is Charles Manson (the song was Helter Skelter)

OP: You got it. OK poster1......your turn.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let's get started!

These 2 brothers played in a very successful band in the late 70's/early 80's. They are Canadian citizens. One is a guitarist/singer the other is a drummer. Many of their songs have a driving/highway theme.

1. Name the brothers

2. Name the band

The Bachman Brothers of Bachman Turner Overdrive are the only ones I can think of fitting that description... except that there is a 3rd brother.

Randy and Robbie would be the 2 you mention, but there is also Tim on keyboard/vocals...

Commonly mistaken for a person's name, this band was founded in 1967 and features influences from a lot of other genres. They are defined as classic rock, but due to their unique style don't completely fit this bill. They feature a lot of piano and flute playing. They are originally from England.

Give the name of the real lead singer who it is commonly mistaken to be the same as the name of the band.

Name the band.

Who plays the flute?

Unrequired Bonus:
How many instruments does he play?
Name them all?

Jethro Tull

The singer/flautist is Ian Anderson

Flute, Guitar, Bass, Bouzouki, Balalaika, Mandolin, Harmonica, Soprano Saxophone, Keyboards, Whistle and a few others but I'm not sure as to which ones.

I've been a fan since way back when Aqualung was getting airplay on AM radio! (Yeah, I'm an old fucker.)

LOL me too LK! I was going to say the same thing as your answer.

That album cover has to be the creepiest one ever too. I still have it in my vinyl collection.

Alrighty then.............

This 70's band featured the bassist as the lead singer. They had several songs make it to the charts in both the US and UK. They successfully turned an Irish drinking song into a rock tune (it was last remade by a metal band).

Name the band.

*Bonus*
Name the bassist/vocalist.

Oi, too many bands with bassists as the lead singer.
Thin Lizzy, Rush, The Byrds...
Oh yes, and lets not forget Kiss, Motorhead, The Beatles, and Pink Floyd

One of the ones you mentioned is correct.

The key is the Irish drinking song.
