0 How about you doing work for free for a friend because you know he's not made of money and it's a lot of work. Agreement is "just throw me what you can afford once in awhile."
This agreement was made long before Christmas. I find out he's asking friends of mine to make graphics for him and after asking several times for something - even if it's a small gesture, I get nothing for the loads of work I do and he offers to PAY for the graphics by someone else.
I have no idea what you're talking about so here's a bunny with a pancake on it's head

0 No. But still, wtf? And Lori wants to know why I'm bitchy! Are people always such assholes? This shit like this happens all the time to Matt here too. He tries to collect money and they give him a run around. It just does not pay to be nice.

My dh and I have had the discussion several times about helping someone obese for free. I refuse because if a person doesn't have "skin in the game" they will not value what you are doing for them nor will they respect the service you are providing. After all, if it's free, how good can my services be?

0 Jammin, this is a friend. I do friends favors when I know they can't afford but I take promises from friends as just that, a promise. I hold up my end of the bargain, I just get a bit bitchy when they can't hold up their end.

I'm not sure that is a friend. YOU are the friend. I don't lend anything anymore and expect to get back. I give if I can, but I don't lend, even my time, and expect anything in return. I paid in advance to get my lawn cut by an out of work friend last week. I won't do that again, either.
