Hair - lady cop - 03-26-2010 TK is a pro hairdresser, so i figure we can access her expertise. ![]() i have long hair, but recently it's breaking off in the front, like bangs, which i don't want! ![]() ![]() ![]() RE: Hair - Havoc - 03-26-2010 Damn asterisks. I have somne really graphic suggestions LC. RE: Hair - CrackAttack - 03-26-2010 I don't do hair, but I have long hair. If it ever starts drying out I use the Garnier Fructis hair serum Sleek N Shine. It soaks in quickly, doesn't make your hair greasy, and smells great. It is also less than $10. Fabulous. It is my secret to great winter hair. http://www.drugstore.com/qxp162656_333181_sespider/garnier_fructis_haircare/weightless_leave_in_anti_frizz_serum_sleek_and_shine.htm RE: Hair - lady cop - 03-26-2010 (03-26-2010, 09:42 PM)Havoc Wrote: Damn asterisks. you usually do Havoc! that's why i love you. ![]() thanks for suggestion Crack! i'm not sure it's just dry winter hair, i am worried it's meds that i have started recently. i have never had my hair break before. RE: Hair - Twitchin Kitten - 03-26-2010 It could be your heart meds. If you've been sleeping on one spot more often than not, it will break too. Forced air heat in the house will dry your hair, skin and nails out equally. All are made of the same material. There isn't a conditioner on the planet that can repair hair. It's a false repair, an illusion. Hair is dead once it's poked out the skin on your scalp. You can't repair something that is dead. If it were alive, it would feel pain and bleed when you cut it. Crack, I found the Fructis line of products awful! They all have some sort of alcohol in them and that will dry hair out to no end. LC - rinse your hair with a solution of white vinegar and water between shampoo and conditioner. Mix 2 parts white vinegar to 6 parts water. This will invigorate the scalp and take any residue off your hair from poor rinsing, hard water and buildup of soaps and conditioners. Use - believe it or not - Suave's equivalent to the Nexxus Humectris conditioner. I think it's the Professionals line they recently came out with. The ingredients are EXACTLY the same for 1/4 the price. The coconut shampoo is nice too. Just use the vinegar and water rinse all the time between shampoo and conditioner. Get a satin or silk pillow case. It keeps the hair from breaking. RE: Hair - CrackAttack - 03-26-2010 (03-26-2010, 10:01 PM)Twitchin Kitten Wrote: It could be your heart meds. I just use the oil because I straighten mine. If she ends up smelling "fresh as a summer's day" it's YOUR fault. RE: Hair - lady cop - 03-26-2010 hey, thanks for advice TK! ![]() if it's the meds i'm going to have to do something drastic like cut. ![]() RE: Hair - Twilla - 03-26-2010 How come you used that little green bug icon for this thread?
