Isn't the truck rather unstable driving like that? RE: Truck driver in turkey - Eric - 02-01-2010 nope , not really this has happend here on I-68 , a driver from maryland damn near ripped off one of the Interstate bridges doing the same thing...... RE: Truck driver in turkey - Twitchin Kitten - 02-01-2010 Well I'm sure any road with potholes would make you notice the payload is up! Hell, I feel it when the wind grabs the empty pickup bed on my small truck on a smooth road! RE: Truck driver in turkey - LKTraz - 02-01-2010 Nope. You really don't feel it if the bed is up, believe it or not. However...if you look in your mirrors you can SEE that it's up or going up. Just goes to show you how much attention he was NOT paying to them. You're supposed to do a mirror check twice a minute. Now admittedly most drivers (including me) will only check about once every 2 minutes unless in heavier traffic. But still.....he couldn't have looked for quite some time! RE: Truck driver in turkey - Eric - 02-01-2010 one of these days I'll find that pic of what one of the guys that work at My father In laws towing service did. You ever see what happens to a 80K mercedes when its not properly strapped down? RE: Truck driver in turkey - LKTraz - 02-01-2010 Oh I'm sure it's ugly! |
