Physioterroist has his day - Rhubarb - 01-13-2010 Come uppance or what? Philip hasn't seen his Physio since before Christmas because Tom went away on holiday to France. Nothing odd there. The pair of them have had a good natured banter about the danger of motorbikes and when Philip can get back to one. Tom soon realised he would never get Philip to leave bikes alone so used it as a goal post for his training and that worked. Philip has worked solidly on his muscles while Tom has been away. With skiing season Philip had questioned why he could go on a skiiing trip but not ride a motorbike, he really thought skiing would be more dangerous! He was right. He had his hospital appointment and he was introduced to Simon. Where was Tom? Tom went skiing on his first day on holiday in the French Alps............................................. He now has 2 broken femurs, broken ankle and most likely nerve damage which will keep him off work for up to a year. He is still in France but coming home this weekend by ambulance. Now Philip feels sorry for him and also slightly guilty of the argument he had. How can a physiotherapist know how broken bones feel unless they have broken one themself. His has bought him a Get Well card and will put in it 'Just know exactly how you feel mate, just work on those exercises. So when can you get back on skis? I bought my next motorbike yesterday and I will think of you the day I ride it. Thanks Tom - Truce? RE: Physioterroist has his day - Twitchin Kitten - 01-13-2010 PERFECT! Don't you love the folks who lecture you on the wrongs you do yet they go and do something 100% more dangerous and come back busted up and carrying their leftover body parts in a bag? RE: Physioterroist has his day - LKTraz - 01-13-2010 Now THAT is the antithesis of poetic justice. RE: Physioterroist has his day - Rhubarb - 01-15-2010 Philip had hospital again today. X-Rays and check up. Now the right leg is 'behind' the left leg but then it did have another operation before Christmas so its not surprising. He can go back to work, if the company can give him something where he isn't standing all day. The could be a problem, since his job involves standing all day..... The other issue is transport. He can use a car (can't drive) or catch the bus (none go near his place of work until 8.30am, he starts at 7.30am). He still isn't allowed on two wheels, including his push-bike. The Honda CBR arrives tomorrow...........oh dear. RE: Physioterroist has his day - Twitchin Kitten - 01-15-2010 Get him a Chinaman and a Rickshaw! (yeah I know, bad taste but it's funny.) RE: Physioterroist has his day - LKTraz - 01-15-2010 Wait a minute....he can ride a motorcycle but he can't drive a car? Ummm......what's up with that? RE: Physioterroist has his day - Twitchin Kitten - 01-15-2010 She said he's not allowed on two wheels of any sort. |
