Nostalgia racing is always fun stuff!
NHRA holds a few "Cacklefests" each year at various tracks. You get to see a pretty good collection of vintage slingshot style front engine dragsters and fuel altereds.
Beach racing is cool stuff and goes back to the roots of both NASCAR and NHRA.

This is something that should be done by you if you can get to do it. You can get pit passes for an extra $10 the day of and the racers are so nice and friendly.
A guy who Matt is interviewing for a guitarist actually had a car in the race and he's the nicest guy.
There is no glory, no money and lots of camaraderie among the racers. It was so nice.

The one guy in the video calls himself Death Rider and has a skull and bones on his jacket. He was having a ball all day doing donuts on the beach. This clip shows him with a friend. Probably going to have to click a link for the video.

TROG requires you be older than '52 and for the bikes you MUST have suicide shift or you disqualify.
These are all old Indians and Harley's and there were a few very old Triumph's in the mix. But these are all original or restored bikes and no cheap replicas.
This guy is a potential guitarist for Matt. We met him down there and between Him & Matt "us girls" got along smoothly too.
