Yeah Matt told me late today. I knew he had issues and was evac'd out of the South Pole (what the hell he was there for is nuts) and then suddenly he was in Ohio in a cancer ward. Happened fast. 95 is a good run though. Everyone calls him a hero, but listening to Charles Krauthammer today, he pegged him as one of our greatest adventurers. That's perfect. It fits.
Hero is overused and for the wrong reason.

I think that was Buzz Aldrin that was at the South Pole. That confused me too, till I realized it was Buzz they were talking about 2 days before Glenn died.

Glenn was the last of the Mercury 7 (original 7) astronauts.
