camp sites NJ Penn,MLand Va - Mustang - 10-29-2015 I'm thinking of hiring a Rv to tour area,What are camping facilities like can we 'wild camp' RE: camp sites NJ Penn,MLand Va - Twitchin Kitten - 10-30-2015 Why is this in the intro forum, Mark? I'm moving it to the regular board. RE: camp sites NJ Penn,MLand Va - Twitchin Kitten - 10-30-2015 Now that this is moved to it's proper location ... Renting an RV can be costly. It may be slightly cheaper than a hotel room though. It all depends where, when etc. Figure around $1500.00 USD per week at the minimum. It is convenient and campgrounds are abundant. There is an app called Campgrounds (i think that one is for iPhone only) and another one that lists all KOA campgrounds Those two will get you started. You can park in the driveway when you're here which is convenient too. I'm not sure where to point you to for renting an RV other than a local dealership. There are people who do rent their own private vehicles out and I've also seen them advertised on Craigslist. RE: camp sites NJ Penn,MLand Va - Biker Dude - 10-30-2015 http://www.cruiseamerica.com/ is probably one of the biggest outfits for RV rentals. RE: camp sites NJ Penn,MLand Va - Twitchin Kitten - 10-30-2015 That's a good site, Biker. Sadly their pickup point here in NJ is really far away from their "landing point". RE: camp sites NJ Penn,MLand Va - Mustang - 10-30-2015 Most that I've found are on the West Coast rolling the cost of hotel and car rental this seems better since won't be going into cities RE: camp sites NJ Penn,MLand Va - LKTraz - 10-30-2015 Here's a link for RV rentals. I clicked on one just to see where it needed to picked up at and it was in South Amboy so I think that might be do-able. http://rvrentalnj.com/?gclid=CO25w7rl6sgCFUQYHwodGA0LpA Here's a place in Newark. http://www.roadbearrv.com/ RE: camp sites NJ Penn,MLand Va - LKTraz - 10-30-2015 Another link for finding campgrounds. https://www.goodsamcamping.com/ RE: camp sites NJ Penn,MLand Va - twisteroo - 10-31-2015 If by wild camp you mean wal-mart parking lots, it's a free for all. RE: camp sites NJ Penn,MLand Va - Mustang - 11-02-2015 I say why us a site, when you have toilet, and showers on board. If only for one night,as long as it is safe.Normally use laybys side roads here although some supermarkets allow there are regulations |
