Whoa, that looks pretty cool!!!
We need details though, you know, what the hell is it? What's the engine make, size, etc?
Oh, yeah, maybe you need a new thread for this bike, all my dumb questions, and your postings of wheelies and burnouts and stuff.

RE: The Completely Pointless Thread II - Biker Dude - 05-31-2015

It's a Honda Fury, engine is 1300cc. It is a 2013, but new, complete with warrantee. It was still in the packing crate up until about 2 hours before my ride.

This is how many miles it had when I took it out for the test. Plus I got to make the first sales kid cry. I started by asking his asking price and he quoted me what the '15's are going for. I said 'been on the inventory for 2 years and you start at sticker?' then he told me I could test ride after qualifying. I told him the ride happens first. Nobody pulls my credit until I know I want it. He went and got his GM. We ended up dealing solely with the GM. As a bonus, when they pulled my credit it came back as 796. It's bone stock for right now, but maybe an exhaust change would be in the offing, and some bags if I can find some that look good on it.

I never really considered a thread of it's own, mostly because I figured who would really care that much about what I am doing with it?

Seriously? None of us care? Pfft!

Yes we do. I'm splitting this off to a new thread and we will carry on.

OK now that that's done, what kind of saddle bags do you want? Hard bags or throw over bags? I personally like the throw over type because I can take them off easily and haul them around if necessary. I also like them to be leather and not pleather. I saved a shitload of money buying mine at an equine supply house Smile

I really don't pay attention to new bikes and stuff out on the market, I thought for sure it was custom.

The other day a guy at work shows me one of these on his phone and was talking about how cool they are. I asked if he could get one in the same color as his purse.Hysterical

I just happened to notice the lack of bumper stickers on that new Honda. Let's see what we can do about that eh?Wink

These guys sell those too. The GM told us there are the #3 dealer world wide on them. Saw this little beauty there, it was sold before the end of the day.

25k, with a 1500 delivery charge. This one was a Limited Edition. He says they don't deal at all on them, they will take your money and then say 'Youre welcome' to you. They look like fun, and I am sure they get a lot of attention, but I don't know that I would go that route instead of a bike.

The bike felt like a quick decision, and a ridiculous luxury. My girlfriend pointed out that four years ago we were in that same dealership and I was sitting on a blue one. Maybe thinking about it for 5 years isn't TOO quick of a decision...

I have to re-arrange the garage some. I got it in last night, but it is tight. Three motorcycles and a Mustang in an oversized one-car.

You know, I am not sure. Color matched hard sides? Leather throw overs? Not a fan of pleather or the fake leather hard sides. I had those on a shadow, worked good on it, don't think they will fit this one.

Bags, probably a new exhaust. The whole tail light is ripe for a major change. I am thinking single tail light with integrated turn signals, and move the plate to the side of the bike. I'll post a picture of the back, that one was just a quick cell phone pic. To be honest I haven't even shopped mods yet.
