Larry Dixon splits his top fuel dragster in half at the Gatornationals in Florida.
He was making a 3rd round qualifying pass and the frame rails failed. He was going a little over 260 MPH when it buckled.

Believe it or not......he walked away without even a bruise. If they would have had a backup frame they would have raced the next day but their spare was all the way back in Indianapolis and there was no way they could get it there in time.

We saw this on the news. I was amazed that he got up out of that car and walked. You'd figure he'd be at the very least, winded enough that it takes a good while to catch a breath.
