How does this happen? - Twitchin Kitten - 02-11-2015 Can anyone explain to me how this works? I'm so frustrated! ![]() I weigh 115 pounds. Been this weight for awhile now. Stubborn last 5 pounds won't go, but when I was riding a lot, I weighed around this anyway. I have ALL my dungarees downstairs packed up ready to wear. ALL size 29 waist and a few 28. Went shopping for jeans the other day and I FIT, a tiny bit tight, but I FIT into 29's in the store. Pre-washed to avoid the terrible "shrink to fit" equation for now. Size 30 was more comfortable, but they 'drooped' in the waist in the back and I'd need a belt to wear them which would bunch them up at the waist making me look like some hillbilly. Today I decided to try on my old pants. WTF? I can barely close the zipper on them. How does this happen? ![]() I also noticed that on ALL the new Levi's, Lee and Wrangler pants the legs are HUGE. I'm not talking relaxed fit either. These things are definitely not cut the way my old pants are. My old pants are relaxed fit and the legs are much narrower in the thigh and still a comfortable relaxed fit. Have any of you noticed new Levi's (and the other 'big names') are sized different for yourselves the last few years and you are still the same size? This sucks because I miss wearing Levi's and I only wear Levi's or Wrangler dungarees. I don't want to buy a pair of pants where the size starts with a "3" ![]() RE: How does this happen? - twisteroo - 02-11-2015 Welcome to my world fatty. ![]() I mean. yeah, I have noticed. Every time my pants get tighter I blame them bastards at Levi's or my clothes dryer. Really though. You should see the hassle I have buying underwear. RE: How does this happen? - Twitchin Kitten - 02-12-2015 OMG I have not been able to find underwear for daily use in ages. It's like a giant quest every year. Frilly stuff is no problem. But still with the pants. HOW can I fit into the SAME SIZE I have here at home in the store only and the ones that are well worn and broken in be so tight? Frilly stuff is no problem. Because they do still continue to shrink a tiny bit every time they're washed, even if they're pre-shrunk. RE: How does this happen? - Twitchin Kitten - 02-12-2015 Yes I know this. Did you see where I said I am the same weight now as well? They didn't shrink sitting in bins all this time. They didn't shrink sitting in bins all this time. Right, but same weight != same size. Depends on the muscle:fat ratio. I'm the same weight as I was six months ago, but 2" less around the waist from cutting/splitting/hauling firewood for the last 3 months |
