Suspect collared for Hell's Kitchen punch - Twitchin Kitten - 07-11-2014 Has anyone else seen this story? The guy seems like one nut-job. News this morning says he jumped out of the cop car on the NJ Turnpike and hopped atop the toll booths until police dragged his ass off there. Suspect collared for Hell’s Kitchen punch that left man in critical condition Video on this page shows prior to his arrest: http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/Man-Punch-Face-Hospital-Hells-Kitchen-Police-Video-266438521.html RE: Suspect collard for Hell's Kitchen punch - LKTraz - 07-11-2014 Critical condition? Really? Ok, he caught the other guy square in the snoot. Since when is a broken nose a critical injury? Yeah......smacking somebody over stupid shit like stepping over a dog is dumbassed but.....really? Apparently the guy who swung is a fucknut but this seems just a bit overblown. RE: Suspect collard for Hell's Kitchen punch - Twitchin Kitten - 07-11-2014 The guy who got punched hit his head on the ground. The head injury is why he's in critical condition. RE: Suspect collard for Hell's Kitchen punch - ralgith - 07-11-2014 It's collared, not collard (collard greens anyone)? Also: Fucking morons. RE: Suspect collard for Hell's Kitchen punch - Twitchin Kitten - 07-11-2014 LOL! I didn't catch that. I just copied the text from the website pages. Have you noticed that news articles from anywhere these days are awful with spelling and grammatical mistakes? Really? http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/soccer/2014/07/10/john-bieniewicz-funeral-soccer-referee-punched/12474219/ One punch and dead. It happens. And this guy didn't even get to hit his head on cement after the punch. RE: Suspect collared for Hell's Kitchen punch - Flamethrower - 07-13-2014 Yes if a shot lands just right it can happen. Years ago a boxer went down to the mat, dead before he hit it. I remember his last name was Duc. Jo Li Duc I think was his full name. The soccer ref was hit by someone who had at least a little athleticism. Duc was hit by another boxer. In both these cases it was someone landing a solid shot with some snot behind it. However, the punch this guy threw in NY looked like a pretty weak swing and a clumsy one at that. You can see he got the guy pretty much on the nose and maybe caught the top lip too. If the guy who got hit whacked his head and wound up in critical condition from that fall then he would have ended up in ICU as well if he'd just tripped and went elbows over asshole! I think LK's point is just that. People these days seem like they are more fragile. When I was a kid there were folks who fell out of trees and all they ended up with was a mild concussion. Not just kids but adults too. I know I took some pretty good spills and walked away just sore and embarrassed. Hell, I took WAY bigger punches than that one and got up and proceeded to pound the holy fuck out of the other guy. The point here is this. Is this the result of over-protection of our kids? "OMG Billy, you can't go ride your bicycle without your knee, shoulder, elbow and shin pads and your helmet! What if you fall?" Well, without all that crap Billy might get some cuts and scrapes, get scabs and scars and TOUGHEN THE FUCK UP some!!!!!!!!! Might this be the case with the NY guy smacking his head and winding up pretty fucked up? Clearly he didn't hit a curb in which case I could see why. Now as to the asshat who took the swing, yet another fucknut with an I don't give two shits about anyone but myself attitude. On both parts though, an argument about stepping OVER a dog? Firstly the fucknut shouldn't have stepped over and secondly it really wasn't anything to get into an argument over. A good old "Fuck you dickhead" should have sufficed. Asshat pulling all that shit with the cops shows he's some kind of witless jackshit and the fact that the neighbors seem to think he's strange support that. Make him pay the guy's hospital bills and if he can't then toss him in some dark, damp corner of the jail. Problem solved! RE: Suspect collared for Hell's Kitchen punch - BarEdul - 07-13-2014 I don't weigh in often now days, very busy around here. BUT, this warrants comment. At 8 years old I took a ball bat to the throat. However I drank whole milk, hung out in trees. DID farm work and had some great bones! At 17 when I was in a car wreck due to weird circumstances the door snapped shut and bounced on my leg repeatedly. I have dents in MY BONE. The doctors told me I had great bone density that the leg should have snapped! My point, hard work, good food, plenty of sun shine can not be substituted for lazy non working bodies they just don't hold up! I know miners that if they had punched that guy he would have had a broken jaw or died before he hit the concrete cause they have worked toughened bones.. and besides what do you want to bet there was a flaw in the guys head? a crack, previous concussion, he was probably a ticking time bomb waiting to bump his head and drop dead. Lesson don't be rude either way. Cussing the guy who stepped over the dog was wrong, stepping over the dog was wrong and pucking the guy was wrong, neither of these people had any manners! LET the darwin awards begin! It is only going to get worse! RE: Suspect collared for Hell's Kitchen punch - Twitchin Kitten - 07-13-2014 It probably started out as "fuck you think you're doing?" and blondie started the whole thing. Too bad the dog didn't grab his junk. Flamethrower Wrote:Might this be the case with the NY guy smacking his head and winding up pretty fucked up? Clearly he didn't hit a curb in which case I could see why. And the guy DID hit his head. Not on the curb but the street under his feet. Blondie got a 'lucky' punch in there and did a lot of damage. |
