Introducing.... - Twitchin Kitten - 05-25-2014 Alejandra! It's fun to say and it's the girl version of Alejandro ![]() I'm leaning toward Esmerelda too. She's still very unsteady on her feet but she's happy as a clam in her cage for now. She has toys, a comfy bed, food and water and a 'toilet'. Purring like a motor and fluffing the air with her paws. ![]() She's a 'dump' cat. She knows the sound of kibble hitting the dish. Loves her belly rubbed and is so friendly. Someone dumped her in the woods by the theater. Assholes. Feral cats don't act THAT friendly. So, here are a couple of photos to tide you over: Food is good: [attachment=3008] First contact with Mikki (the rest have been ignoring her). She does not seem to mind the dog either. A little hissing by her but nothing aggressive, just normal stuff. [attachment=3009] Pretty face: [attachment=3010] Mikki keeping her company. The rest of them are ignoring the whole thing. LOL They probably figure if they ignore this it will go away. [attachment=3011] RE: Introducing.... - LKTraz - 05-25-2014 What a nice looking kitty. I think Mikki has a new buddy! ![]() RE: Introducing.... - twisteroo - 05-25-2014 She's a cutie Twitch. RE: Introducing.... - Twitchin Kitten - 05-25-2014 Well, she used that litter box today while we were out. GOOD! Because if she were incontinent you know what that would mean ![]() She's out exploring now. The others are not so thrilled. Mikki follows her like a babysitter, but she's still so wobbly. I hope time solves this neurological disorder. If it doesn't, she can only be out of the crate supervised. She can barely walk right now. All she wants is attention and love. I think she knows how lucky she got Friday night! RE: Introducing.... - twisteroo - 05-26-2014 How's she doing today Twitch? RE: Introducing.... - Twitchin Kitten - 05-26-2014 http://twitchinkitten.com/thread-4036-post-54895.html#pid54895 <-- Post 12! She's much steadier on her feet and can get on and off the couch on her own. LOL She uses the dog's ass as a stepping block and for some reason, Daisy does not mind. Still some hissing going on and she picked Matt as her person. She's quite the happy clam! RE: Introducing.... - Rhubarb - 05-27-2014 Nice to know she is settled The others will get used to her I'm sure Mums cats weren't happy when she brought home Smoky- but tolerated him. She isn't lost? I guess people don't put lost adverts out where you found her RE: Introducing.... - Twitchin Kitten - 05-27-2014 (05-27-2014, 05:10 PM)Rhubarb Wrote: Nice to know she is settled No she's not lost. She's been out in the woods for quite awhile. she's skin and bones under all that fur, which is extra thick for survival like that. She was filthy and full of ear mites too. I'm pretty sure she was dumped off. Cats aren't that stupid that they get lost from home. She's lucky she didn't get run over as it was in a very busy area. Even if she were 'lost', they're not getting her back. If 'you' are that irresponsible that it costs me $545 to fix 'your' mess, 'you' don't deserve her. And a hearty 'fuck you' while you're at it ![]() RE: Introducing.... - Twitchin Kitten - 05-28-2014 Well, Esmerelda may be out the window for a name. We've been calling her everything but. FlipFlop, Wobbles, Dizzy Boots, Unsteady Freddie. Stuff like that. I think this may be permanent damage to her neuro system. She's trying so hard to be a normal cat, but when she looks up, she topples over. Strolling around is exhausting so she will just plop for a rest where she's standing. She can get on and off the couch, the dog being in her bed is most useful for her, but she gave our bed a try. No go. Poor thing. There is a bit of a lip/overhang on the bed's platform and it's 3' off the ground. She just barely makes grabbing with her front paws and falling off because she can't find any purchase with her back feet. I think the other girls are happy about that since this is their sanctuary for now. |
