Unique video - LKTraz - 02-21-2014
Ok......from time to time I post videos from some pretty spectacular explosions in NHRA.
This one is from the first big bang of 2014. Ron Capps obliterated the body during qualifying at Pomona at this year's season opener.
What's unique is:
3 different views.
1.....IN CAR camera! You get to see and hear what Ron did!!!!!

Yeah. Beckman's chute flopped early which indicates that he popped the pressure plate on the blower. Ron dropped a valve and hydrauliced his blower right off the intake.

Actually he's exploded enough times that he just takes it in stride and mutters "shit" under his breath.

This week it looks like Ron's crew backed it off a little. He qualified 9th with a mild 4.079 ET @ 312.78 MPH.
Meantime John Force stood on it with a 3.99 ET @ 317.17 MPH nuclear blast!
The weather in Chandler, AZ is gonna be 81 F at 15% humidity and partly cloudy so the conditions are really good for some fast passes. I doubt anyone will nuke one today.
