Simple things you can do................. - LKTraz - 05-27-2013 ..............to prevent you from doing dumb/embarrassing/annoying things. Share your little tips and hints for solving common situations. Ever lock your keys in your car, office, house etc? There's a very simple thing you can do to prevent that! Develop the habit of NEVER closing a lockable door unless you are holding the keys in your hand and looking at them! My dad taught me this one and once you get used to doing it it's no trouble at all and you'll NEVER lock yourself out again! ![]() Anyone else have a good one? RE: Simple things you can do................. - twisteroo - 05-27-2013 Never, ever, never, no matter how good of an idea it seems like at the time shoot a BB gun inside the house, specifically in the living room behind the television. Also, if you get away with it once without anything broken and not missing the use of an eye do not ever think that it will be better on the second shot. RE: Simple things you can do................. - Twitchin Kitten - 05-27-2013 ![]() I'm sure i have a bunch but I'm so tired from working in the yard I turned off my head for now. It's terribly annoying when you remember to fill it faithfully but you go to light it and *zip, scrape, bind* the flint is caputski! Keep 2 spare flints under the first thick layer of felt on the bottom of the lighter! When you use one in just such a case, replace it as soon as you get back home. Never again will you be stuck with a fueled lighter but a non-working striker. RE: Simple things you can do................. - Twitchin Kitten - 05-29-2013 Sterilize your wooden utensils. Take all your DRY wooden kitchen utensils and stuff them in the microwave for about 45 seconds. No more bacteria. Clean your 'nuker' the easy way. Spray your favorite cleaner all over the inside (I use Simple Green), close door, turn on high for a full minute. Open, wipe with paper towel. Sparkly clean. Sweep baby powder into the crack at the squeaky spot. You might have to do it a couple times but it takes the squeak out! |
