Bike Night - Rhubarb - 04-02-2013 First Bike Night of the Season Not Lovely day too- sunny, wind still a bit cold. Mark has been using my bike for work since the builders at the school have taken the parking spaces. So I push the bike out onto the road. I get changed. I find the keys. Does it start? Does it hell. So bump it down the road but it sounds so rough. I'm adjusting the choke, round the corner. Blimey it feels dodgy. I can't remember it so damn wobbly- I must get some more trips out on it. Bike- dies half way up the hill. I can hear Mark roaring away at the top of the hill. You would think he would have come down the hill. Could I get it to go again? So, I've done this once before, pushing the sodding bike up the hill. The death of me. Then No1 son phones 'Where are you mam?' (Still at home). He comes back on his SpeedTriple and after finally getting it started, I pointed out to him the back tyre is very flat! So I get a high speed trip to the Quay on his bike. We got the thumbs up by lots of pedestrians. Come home on the back of the Kawasaki RE: Bike Night - twisteroo - 04-02-2013 (04-02-2013, 05:03 PM)Rhubarb Wrote: We got the thumbs up by lots of pedestrians. The thumbs up were because of the hot piece on the back of the bike. RE: Bike Night - Rhubarb - 04-04-2013 You mean the screaming nutter clutching to the middle of her son ? More sedate trip home on the GT thank goodness *I also think they would have left pushing the damn bike up hill if it wasn't for the fact I had the money for dinner RE: Bike Night - Twitchin Kitten - 04-04-2013 You should have left the bike at the bottom of the hill and forced the lazy bastards to retrieve it! It's my bike..my problem would be their answer. At least Phil' is happy to sort his mum out when in need. RE: Bike Night - Twitchin Kitten - 04-12-2013 Next time Mark needs his clothes washed you should tell him they're his clothes, his problem then. I still would have left the bike at the bottom of the hill. That's pretty rude of Mark not to help. RE: Bike Night - twisteroo - 04-12-2013 I would have taken off with some good looking guy on a Honda. |
