As explained, most of these are French because it was a pair of Frenchmen who had patented a process for making color photos.

Anyhow, puts a whole new perspective on the past and it's almost ever easier to see rather than imagine what life was like back then, especially during a war.

Pretty interesting. The pictures give you a different perspective over the usual black and white photos. Details lost to monochrome shots are noticeable in these.

I must send this to my Dad he would love to see it since he has been researching WW1 now we have found where his Uncle is buried in France.
