Fucking weather! - LKTraz - 10-29-2011 Motherfucker! It's fucking snowing here in the Northeastern US today. It isn't even Halloween yet (well it IS this weekend) and we are supposed to be in for 10 + inches of wet, sloppy snow here in central Pennsylvania. FUCK FUCK FUCK! The first snow doesn't hit here on average till late November and then it's just a dusting. It generally takes 2 or 3 dusting snows till we get truly measurable snows in the early part of December. FUCK FUCK FUCK! The damned leaves are still on the trees for fuck sake! FUCK FUCK FUCK! The real kiss of death here: Fucking Jim Cantore will be reporting for the Weather Channel from HARRISBURG FUCKING PENNSYLVANIA! FUCK FUCK and DOUBLE FUCK! RE: Fucking weather! - Twitchin Kitten - 10-29-2011 All the damn leaves are stuck to my CAR! no one else around here has a camouflage care except me. I just washed the thing too. Beech trees all over here. Beech leaves leave little brown circles on the paint and windows. I'll be washing the damn car again as soon as it's nice out. Today they claim we'll get a dusting at the shore but I highly doubt it. I'm hoping it stays warm enough to let the rest of those zucchini finish up to maturity so I can enjoy them. Here it is just before 11 AM on Oct 29th and there's an inch of sloppy wet snow on my back deck with large flakes falling at a pretty good pace. Did I say FUCK? FUCK FUCK FUCK! They were expecting Harrisburg to be the deepest in white shit but they were off by a bit. I'm roughly 40 direct air miles NNE of there and WE were the land of the buried for this storm! RE: Fucking weather! - LH - 11-02-2011 After looking for my shovel for an hour, I realized that last year I broke it and never replaced it. But the snowblower fired up right away that thing is more reliable than my digestive tract. We got 8-10 and its still all over, power outages, bla-bla..........The good thing is that I have still most of my Halloween candy to keep me save and warm, not to mention wired like that kid on Dinasaurs. I have cold nights, no snow and warm enough during the day I can open the back door. Zucchini is STILL growing and I even got three more tiny strawberries. I know we're going to get instant winter soon. Reports of over 1200 power trucks sitting around in parking lots doing nothing for hours all over the tri-state area. No one can figure out why. I'll tell you - UNIONS. No one can cut a tree down unless they're in that union. So the other workers have to sit and wait. Once that's done, some other bunch bullies someone else to not touch anything because the nose pickers have to come in and assess the situation before sending in someone who can assess their assessment. THEN the assessor from the power company can come in and assess what area is in more need of moving to the front of the line. THEN the union workers can come in and work on things to restore power - that is if they are the right union for the right power company. You got help from several states and the power still isn't on. What a load of bullshit. I see no reason you need to remove the trees first. Those wires are down and busted. Power is off. Cut them, raise them and splice them. Cut the trees later. If trees are blocking the road, make a path. Most of those cherry-pickers can push a tree out of the way with ease. It's all crap. My friend Bobby works for Con-Edison, don't believe the crap you hear on TV how it's a bigger job than they expected.
