Clay Millican really lit it up during qualifying at the U.S. Nationals during qualifying last weekend. Pay close attention starting at the 36 second mark where they go to the ultra slow motion footage.
That's one expensive Top Fuel engine headed for the scrap pile!

Nah...it was a qualifying pass. The quickest 16 cars make it to final eliminations. This was during one of the 5 qualifying sessions so whether or not he got to the line first makes no difference.
It WAS however about $75,000.00 going down the tubes!
