Come to the Ceilidh! - Phast Phinger Phil - 03-16-2011

Anyone for an Irish jig? It's St Patricks Day (Lá Fhéile Pádraig) tomorrow (March 17th]). Originally a Catholic religious holiday, it's gradually become more of a secular event for all things Irish, and one of the most widely observed celebrations in the world. The Chicago River is actually dyed green each year for the event!

Having a fair amount of Irish blood in my own veins, I've put together a musical offering called "Welcome to the Ceilidh", a ceilidh being a Celtic/Gaelic social gathering involving music & dance. It will only be available for a limited time and features a 30 minute flash-based broadcast/webcast. It's free to listen and no registration is required, but you will need to have Adobe Flash Player installed.

You can: Learn to play a "drum", find out how an Irish fart should smell, spot the Welshman, and drown on the Titanic! All in half an hour... amazing huh?

"Welcome to the Ceilidh" can be found HERE << (clicky!).

LOL! I should put up my jukebox full of Irish songs. Maybe tomorrow will be a day filled with listening to Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly! yay
