I dont watch hockey. I was surprised to see the refs(?) standing by and letting them go at it.

It's standard procedure to let them fight until they fall to the ice.
But this has to be the best fight of all time. Bruins at Rangers in Madison Square Garden.
Boston leaves the ice and starts fighting the fans.
