What's your New Year's Tradition? - Twitchin Kitten - 12-31-2010
We're not really big on New Year's eve around here. I wanted to do the Times Square thing this year but you all know things took a different twist on us. Maybe next year - Chuck Berry can wait.
Normally though, we don't do anything. We stay at home, dont' even drink and most times wind up sleeping before Midnight. The Honeymooners marathon is our highlight and the last couple of years, they shortened it. Pisses me off to no end! It used to go midnight to midnight but now it's midnight to six PM. Oh well.
What do you guys do that is a tradition?

We generally host a party for our friends.
When I have a working band I'm well.......working. For the most part, we are either hosting, entertaining or find a place where we enjoy the entertainment!
New Years Day we MUST make and eat pork and sauerkraut. Tis a German/Pa Dutch tradition. It's supposed to be a good luck kind of thing.

I try to tear one off on new years eve and again on new years day, or sometimes right at midnight spanning both days/years, if I happen to be awake.
Other than that it usually bed at the normal time and up at the normal time, as usual I work on the 1st anyway.

We don't really have a "tradition" around here. We usually don't even change the channel to a count down until maybe 5-10 of. In general, my hubby, mother, and myself hang out at home and pig out, so it's pretty relaxed.

So I text them all back at 8am
Only Liz answered to say she is here at home!
Seeing her tomorrow
I dropped No1 son off at the quay at 10am and as he got out of the car I said 'So you weren't home at 3am when I had to get up. How did you get home?'
He just smiled ' If Granny hadn't phoned at 9am I could safely say I could have had 3 hours sleep. Dan was duty zap and I was at his until 5.30am'
The upstairs phone is in his room
