Proud new Family Member.... - BarEdul - 12-27-2010 I have a love little family member.. He is a boxer/rottweiler cross.. His looks will be deceiving as he is the cutest most serious little bugger you ever seen... His name is Rufus.. Yes I named him after a cartoon hairless mole rat thing.. Inane harmless. cute.. Rufus will be growing up to weigh between 125 to 180 lbs. I saw his parents on site and these animals were huge. Their heads were almost the size of a human head. only paid a paltry 100 bucks for him. I will have LK post his arrival pictures when he gets home tonight as they are on his camera and he is out in the middle of Philly coping with their snow emergency... Seems Philly freaked before it got really bad last night... hope you like Rufus, he is a cute little bear right now about to turn into gigantore.. LOL RE: Proud new Family Member.... - Twitchin Kitten - 12-27-2010 Congrats on the new furkid. Yeah, Philly are a bunch of crybabies. 11 inches. We're plowed in now. RE: Proud new Family Member.... - LKTraz - 12-27-2010 Ok folks......meet Rufus. He wasn't even home an hour and already he's hamming it up for the camera! RE: Proud new Family Member.... - Rhubarb - 12-27-2010 How big? He looks really tiny. RE: Proud new Family Member.... - LKTraz - 12-27-2010 He's just 7 weeks old. I'll try to get a pic of him next to Bruce my Aussie Shepherd for comparison. RE: Proud new Family Member.... - twisteroo - 12-27-2010 He's a cute little shit all right. RE: Proud new Family Member.... - Twitchin Kitten - 12-27-2010 oh, he's adorable! Best of luck with him. Who's the pretty kitty snuggling under the blanket? RE: Proud new Family Member.... - BarEdul - 12-28-2010 The pretty kitty is Salt a difficult to keep alive part siamese she is not finicky at all but has the worst problem keeping weight on. She tends to upper respitory infections so we have to keep her warm well fed and well maybe she is finicky after all ROFLMAO.. her 1/2 brother is the opposite hale and hearty... Rufus is being potty trained and is laying at my feet as I type this he has already learned to count. He knows how to tell if the rest of the gang is missing from my bedroom when I go to bed. I have two kittens of about 3 months-6 months that he has already claimed as his on his second night home he counted and said MOM you didn't bring them to bed whine whine go get them.. ROFL.. I had to go get them before he would settle down and go to sleep. Then he realized Rick had not gone to bed and the living room TV was still on and would not go to bed and go to sleep until I remembered that Rick had an early load and needed woke up again... Smart little nipper... I think.. I will start calling him Brain for a nick name LOL.. He knows with these temperatures he is not suppose to go INSIDE the house but he KNOWS he can't go ON paper so where the heck should I go mom.. MOM! MOM? I am confused?? It's only his 35 hour into our lives and he is firmly entrenched. I called our vet and got him his appointment for shots already.. He is all set for January 7 for the head to toe and his first round of shots and worming... I love the little thing a lot already.. although calling him little won't last long. RE: Proud new Family Member.... - Havoc - 12-28-2010 Very cool, start him on pro motion at about a year old and continue it through his life, it will pay off in the end with less of a chance of joint problems, both breeds that this little guy is made of are prone to them. you can try some echinacea (a few drops in the kitties water to help with the immune system, and then feed it some chruches chicken, I have a kitty that has a hard time retaining weight, He puts on weight with the chicken and seems to crave it when I have it in the house he would eat the whole box in one day if we let him. RE: Proud new Family Member.... - Twilla - 12-28-2010 He's beautiful! His feet are nearly as big as his head. hehe |
